To see the light

Dana Shaban

A storm of creativity and tremendous excitement are what fuel the artwork of Dana Shaban.

Shaban, and autodidact artist, works her canvas intuitively, first applying dark and melancholy colors, followed by the introduction of light tones she perceives as “shining lights that allow you to breathe within this gloomy atmosphere. For me this light is vital, like a breath of fresh air. The paintings are dark, but I bring the light into them.”
