The 26th Biennial Conference of the Israeli Gerontology Society

Starts: September 2, 2026

Between Routine and Emergency - Challenges, Opportunities and Spaces for Growth

ICC Jerusalem is proud to host

The 26th Biennial Conference of the Israeli Gerontology Society

which will focus on the theme 'Between Routine and Emergency - Challenges, Opportunities, and Spaces for Growth

This title well reflects the complex reality in which we live and the need to deeply understand how both routine and crisis situations shape the lives of older people and the support systems around them. This year, the conference also has special significance, as it is being held to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Israeli Gerontology Society - seven decades of research, professional, and social work aimed at advancing understanding of the aging process and improving the lives of older people in Israel - and more to come.

The conference is an opportunity to share current knowledge, present new research, and create a fruitful interdisciplinary dialogue between researchers, policymakers, and practitioners. This meeting allows us to jointly explore innovative ways to improve the quality of life of older adults and strengthen their personal and community resilience.

We'd be happy to see you
